The Vanuatu Digicel Rugby 7s squad and officials has left for Samoa on Tuesday, for the IRB Oceania World Cup 7s qualifying. The top team will part take in the 2009 Rugby World Cup 7s in Dubai. Vanuatu is categoried under Pool B and Tonga is the first neighbour country to play against, on 24 July. Other country teams to face will be Cook Islands and Tahiti. Good luck boys!

Again Digicel was delighted to sponsor the airfare for the Vanuatu Women’s Beach Volleyball team to travel to Tonga, Saturday, July 26 for the Oceania Championship in Tonga, 28th of July – 8th of August, 2008. The team of two (2) are Henriette Iatika and Miller Elwin. The tournament will see Beach volleyball teams from around the Pacific islands as well as Australia, and New Zealand. The Vanuatu women will be for the first time defending their silver medal in Tonga. Without the sponsorship of the airfare, the women’s team wouldn’t have been able to attend.
